FACILITY
Wolf Creek Farm is a privately owned full service boarding facility offering many amenities and an emphasis on dressage.
The Barn
- The fifteen stall barn is wonderfully ventilated, with a bright and airy aisle and individual ceiling fans for each horse.
- Each stall is 12 x 12, with a rubber mat over limestone dust flooring.
- Every horse has windows in both front and back, with barred stall fronts allowing extra ventilation and light to fill the stable.
- Each stall is outfitted with automatic waterers with digital readouts, offering horse owners a precise measurement of how much their horse is drinking.
- The barn offers two spacious grooming areas with cross-ties and saddle racks, along with an indoor, hot and cold wash stall. This oversized wash rack is enclosed to trap heat in the winter, and offers a utility sink and cabinet for extra convenience.
- Two tack rooms are climate controlled, with individual lockers for each boarder. Enclosed spaces, these tack rooms offer a dust and dirt free environment. A utility sink stands ready for tack cleaning purposes.
- The expansive feed room and adjoining hay storage offer plenty of space for a variety of feeds, along with a full-sized refrigerator.
- A barn-wide fly control system keeps irritating insects at bay.
- A laundry room provides a washer and dryer, utility sink, cabinet, as well as a floor level sink for buckets.
- The large and clean bath offers a full-sized shower for riders on the go.
- The rider's lounge is sized to accommodate all of Wolf Creek's equestrians, and offers a flat screen TV, cozy sitting area, and a full kitchen.
Covered Arena
- The covered arena is regulation dressage ring size, with Europrime footing, comprised of carpet fiber material mixed with sand.
- Rafter-mounted misters keep the arena dust free on a daily basis.
- Sloped arena walls offer safety for rider and horse.
- Situated at the top of a rise, the indoor arena has excellent drainage, as well as beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Turn-Out
- Three large pastures, with automatic waterers, line the drive to the barn.
- Five grass paddocks are located behind the barn, also with automatic waterers.
- Four dry lot paddocks are situated to the side of the barn.
Trails
Wolf Creek Farm is named after the beautiful waterway that runs along its border. Riding trails down to the river and along it offer horses and their owners a pleasant, relaxing venue for riding. This beautiful area is filled with mature oaks as well as delicate yellow trout lilies in Spring.
On-site Management
Immediately adjacent to the stable is the home of the resident barn manager, providing the safety and security of a knowledgeable, watchful eye over the horses.
